Every series here is rebuilt from the ANES cumulative file, 1952–2024, weighted by VCF0009z. Two limits are on the slides rather than hidden: the subjective class item leaves the file after 2016, and the ANES overstates the winner's share in every election. The script that produces them is 2026-09-22-polarization-iv-descriptives.R and it prints more than the deck shows.
